To resolve the "objects missing" error in PLX-DAQ for Windows, you can try the following steps:

  1. Close Excel and ensure that PLX-DAQ is not running in the background.
  2. Open the PLX-DAQ.xls file again.
  3. Go to the "Developer" tab in Excel and click on "Visual Basic" to access the VBA editor.
  4. In the VBA editor, locate the code for the Stamp_Disconnect function.
  5. Check if there are any missing references (indicated by a "Missing" tag) in the "Tools" > "References" menu in the VBA editor.
  6. If there are any missing references, try to resolve them by selecting the appropriate libraries or components.
  7. Save the changes in the VBA editor, close it, and reopen PLX-DAQ.xls.
  8. Accept the macros again, and hopefully, the "objects missing" error should be resolved.
  9. If the issue persists, you may consider reinstalling PLX-DAQ and ensuring compatibility with your version of Excel and Windows 10.

Remember to exercise caution when enabling macros and downloading files from external sources.

Answer by Swati Dubey

It seems like there might be an issue with the data transfer from Arduino to Excel using the PLX-DAQ program. To solve this problem, you can try the following steps:

  1. Make sure that the Arduino is properly connected to your computer via the specified port (COM4).
  2. Verify that the baud rate is set correctly (9600).
  3. Check if the PLX-DAQ program is configured properly to receive data from the Arduino.
  4. Double-check if the Excel file selected to collect the data is correct and accessible.
  5. Try restarting both the Arduino and the computer.
  6. If none of the above steps work, you can seek help from the PLX-DAQ support forum or contact their customer support for further assistance.
